Started to read through my 300+ mails. Now that I got back to Switzerland, I have stomach problems. And the pictures are still locked away in my Casio Exilim S2 camera. Grrr.

Saw the old Metropolis (IMDB:0017136) movie – very cool! The first Science Fiction movie, released in 1927. And already we find many ideas in this movie that have been taken up by later movies:

I had seen the Giorgio Moroder restored version a long time ago – I must have been around 13 back then, and some of the images impressed me very much. Seeing the worker straining to align the pointers of a watch-like machine with glowing lamps or the crazy Maria leading the crowd through the city – the images stayed with me and watching the new restored version of the movie was time well spent.
