What: The Diary of a Nobody by George and Weedon Grossmith

When: 19 November, 19:30 – RSVP on Meetup (optional ;))

Where: Bistro Lochergut (tram 2+3 ’Lochergut’)

The authors, a pair of brothers, were comic actors in late 19th century London; George played the lead character in a series of Gilbert and Sullivan pieces. I guess we may expect some light entertainment!

Synopsis from Wikipedia: The Diary of a Nobody originated as an intermittent serial in Punch magazine in 1888–89 and first appeared in book form, with extended text and added illustrations, in 1892. The Diary records the daily events in the lives of a London clerk, Charles Pooter, his wife Carrie, his son Lupin, and numerous friends and acquaintances over a period of 15 months.
