2009-12-18 Save Web Pages as PDF

Difference between revision 3 and current revision

Summary: :ok: → 👌

No diff available.

At last! On Mac OSX you have the wonderful ability to print stuff into PDF files. Except that these days most web designs produce horrid or broken output – you’ll have the title and the sidebar on the first page of your PDF, and the rest invisible “off the page” somewhere. Theoretically you can “print the selection” in Firefox, but for some reason this option is always greyed out on my system.

Some googling found the Print Selection Service for Mac. And it works in Safari. Now I can highlight the main body of a cool webpage and print just that to PDF. 👌

Now I feel the urge to go through the 188 starred articles in Google Reader and see whether I want to keep some of that on my disk!
