I sometimes kick people from the Emacs channel on IRC. Often I am dragged into long discussions of whether I abused my power or not.

Then I get stuff like this:

16:59 !!! consolers sent unsupported ctcp: FUCKOFFANDDIE
14:57 !!! consolers sent unsupported ctcp: EATSHITANDDIE

He does the same everytime he is kicked/banned. I wonder why I didn’t get a pm yet…maybe you haven’t banned him yet.

Life’s too short to care about consolers. Random kick/bans are a good way of dealing with him, imho.

I really must add him to my ignore list. That seems to be easier than contacting people on #freenode, I think.

The power is with you to keep the channel a nice place. Kicking people like these out is what it’s there for. good job I say. :)
